xAPI, LRS – The Interview « E-Learning 24/7 Blog
Today’s post is quite unique since it takes a different path than previous posts.
xAPI and LRS (Learning Record Stores) have been in the news and frankly everywhere within the e-learning industry in the past 1.5 years.
Part of the problem though is that there is a lot of information out there, some of it erroneous in nature and honestly, equally confusing. In early December, I decided to present the real facts, the real insight and eradicate the confusion.
The challenge was how to do it, since it contains an extensive amount of technical jargon, that cannot be easily removed.
While I am able to provide a variety of insight and details on the subject, I by no means would be a foremost expert on it.
This is where I had an epiphany.
Reach out to someone I know who is not only the best and what he knows, but is the foremost expert on the subject and present a special blog post.
With my journalism background in hand, I contact Aaron Silvers and inquired if he would be interested in doing an interview style post.

Moodle social course format – Wall
The Moodle Wall for Moodle 2.x just got better. Much better. And the best part is that, in the spirit of Christmas and Open Source, I am giving away the prized source code to all Moodle developers and students. For free. You are free to modify the source code as long as you give credit to two persons: Srivinas Tamada of India, and Frankie Kam of Malaysia. And as long as you fulfil a list of requirements from me. Our goal is to use Google Docs as a learning Tool within the boundaries of any LMS, Moodle in particular since the base technology is developed at http://code.google.com/p/basiclti4moodle another one of our projects.
An Example A teacher creates an assignment. This assignment will be completed by the student in a Google Docs Document (Word processor, Spreadsheet, Slideshow, Image … ). The teacher will be able to see the work, its progress, make annotations, and grade it on the LMS.
