Learning Locker – a Moodle plugin that emits events from the Logstore as xAPI statements.
As stated on the Github repository, the plugin simply “emits events from the Moodle Logstore as xAPI statements”. For those that don’t know, the Moodle Logstore is a log of activities in Moodle. When you view a course, complete a quiz, or grade a student a log of that activity is recorded in the Logstore. The plugin uses these logs to produce xAPI statements and then sends (emits) them to an LRS that you can configure.

Integrating Moodle and WordPress. A Learning Tool Interoperability (LTI)
What this means is that Moodle users can blog in WordPress inside a walled garden environment (Moodle 2.5). At the same time, the WordPress url is accessible on the Internet. If you’re an English teacher who wants your students to write more, you might be interested in this integration. Imagine having all the world-class benefits of WordPress blogging, all inside a Moodle course page with a shared single-sign-on!

ePortfolio – using Mahara with Moodle
Moodle with a side of ePortfolio (presentation and video recording)
Presenter : Kristina Hoeppner (New Zealand)
Moodle is already a powerful course management system. You can extend its functionality in multiple ways. This presentation explores the possibilities of using Moodle in conjunction with the #ePortfolio and collaboration system Mahara that connects to your Moodle easily.
By using Mahara, your learners can create their own personal learning environments and also create portfolios that you can assess directly in Moodle.

Power to the Learner (presentation and video recording)
Presenter : Sigi Jakob-Kühn (Germany)
How to change Learning with an ePortfolio
Adding an ‘e’ to learning or changing from analog to digital does not necessarily mean better instruction or learning. To make learning successful and a lasting process there is more that needs to be changed.
In my presentation I would like to demonstrate how the group centered features of a Moodle course can be extended to individualized learning in a Mahara ePortfolio and how Mahara can empower individual learners to show their competencies, reflect about their learning and share results with specific target groups.

Above #Mahara and #Moodle presentations were given and are available on #BBB video recording @ the 2015 #Moodle #iMoot15 , see schedule.

What is iMoot?
iMoot is an annual event where the #Moodle community, practitioners, administrators and decision makers meet to share the best practice in online learning.
iMoot15 – Everyone Matters
The theme for this year’s iMoot is “Everyone matters!”
In our globalised world we see every day that successful solutions are those that include the contributions of all affected parties.
We want this year’s iMoot to be inclusive and open for participants from all kinds of backgrounds; be it trainer, teacher, administrator, developer or learners that want to share their Moodle stories.
We are aiming for anyone to participate in the iMoot that wants to, no matter their socioeconomic standing, age, ability, or the devices they use, because we know that successful Moodle use needs everybody.

Introducing CoursePress: Easy To Create Online Classes – The Edublogger
CoursePress is a plugin that adds course and student management tools to any WordPress site.
We felt that many of the big-name LMS tools out there can be quite a bear to work with. And most importantly, they often require everything to be locked behind school logins resulting in classes that are completely walled off from the rest of the world.
We don’t think this is the way it should always be. So, we set out to make it easy to publish and manage online courses on the web.
Check the features list:
- Create courses, units, and lessons in WordPress – just like a blog post or page
- Control access to courses and content – open registration, a class code, and more
- Create assessments and quizzes with multiple choice, true/false, free response, and file upload
- Automatically grade quizzes or provide instructor feedback
- Add videos, files, and media to courses
- Include discussion forums and collaboration
- Schedule content to be published with course calendar
- Student management and reporting tools
- Works with any WordPress theme, and comes with a beautiful one too
- Course progress tracking
- So much more
